I just found out that Scott's old love is coming to Utah in July.  A shindig is being put together.  So..... what do I do?  I guess I should lose about 100 pounds and show up in my glamorous clothes and whitened teeth.  Jewels would be needed.  Or I guess I could stay home.  Staying home might just be the thing.  Or this could be the motivation to lose some of the weight I need to.  At least for the day she'll be here.  It's such a dilemma.

Now onto more important things.  I'm so proud of my children.  They are doing their part to keep the commandments and learn more about the gospel.  Rachel is reading in the New Era.  She is also reading the Book of Mormon and being a kind friend.  She is trying to get the most out of school and seminary.  I'm so pleased with the progress she is making.  She just reminded us that Conference is in one minute.  She's keeping us on the straight and narrow path.

Some of my favorite highlights.  Two words:  Stop it.  Thank you Elder Uchtdorf. There is some much for me to stop so that I can go forward and on to a better me and to make my family life better and our relationships stronger.

Also, "Come Thou Fount" was so awe inspiring and really needs to be in the hymn book as does "Faith In Every Footstep."  I love the music in conference.  Elder Holland's talk, as always, was very significant to me and to others in my home.  Now to listen to the last session.

I don't mind being fifty.  I don't mind being fat...... most of the time.  But when my cute co-workers come to work in the most DARLING clothes and the CUTEST bodies...... then is when I mind being the big 5 0.  Well, and larger than life.  And my eyes don't like to focus and see things close up.  Rats!  I'm getting old.  That I can't change, but the fat part...... I know I can, but do I have the motivation?  It would be so much easier if I didn't have to give up sugar and carbohydrates.  Not to skip over the fact that I need to exercise as well.   Sheesh!

The other thing is you have to have lots of money to dress the way the cute people dress.  You have to have those green bills with high dollar amounts to get the types of clothes I need.  You know, extra fabric equals extra bucks.  Lane Bryant ain't cheap.  Oh well..... maybe in the  next life.  Will there be sugar there?

Nothing of grand proportion has happened since the last post.  I needed something to do in the computer lab is all.  Oh, wait!  Rachel received her Patriarchal Blessing this past Sunday.  She is a very special and wonderful girl.  But then, we knew that already.  Also, rehearsals for "Crossing Delancey" have begun.  It's fun.  I'm going to have a great time.  I'm happy to be in the play for many reasons, but the first one is that I get to spend some time with my hubby.  Scott is so busy these days what with his job and then his writing.  We hardly see each other.  So being in the play that he is directing will be nice.  Plus I get to memorize all of those lines.  I guess I could do that in the computer lab.   Naaaah!

Saw "The Hunger Games" this morning.  We all loved it.  I think we all would have turned around and watched it again if there had been seats.  Great movie.  Well acted, well scripted, and once I got use to the jiggly camera, well shot.  I highly recommend it for anyone over 13.  Because, yes, it is violent.

I get to school today and Mrs. Headman, the Kindergarten teacher, tells us how her students don't ever listen to her.  A lot of them came to school today with pictures of themselves...... "It's picture day!" they said.  Yes, it's spring picture day.  We're going to take your pictures.  They look at her all funny.  Kids!

Paige and I saw "Woman In Black" at the Echo theater. Not the movie, the play.  It was fabulous!  Patrick Kintz and Chipper Davis were so wonderful.  Patrick played several characters with several different accents and pulled them all off.  And the pantomiming!  Oh, boy, you sure could envision that dog and that horse and cart.  ;)   Good on ya, Patrick.  And I wonder if I'm related to Christopher "Chipper" Sherwood Davis.

I took Friday off to spend the day with Paige on her 23rd birthday.  We went to see John Carter and then to lunch at Cafe Rio.  We stopped by F.Y.E. to spend her birthday money and then home to prep for the opening night of "Anne of Green Gables."  It was a splendid day.  I enjoyed being with Paige and eating yummy food and seeing John Carter.  The show went super well and the audiences are loving it.  I have a wonderful life.

I hadn't wanted to see John Carter.  I just didn't care, but I loved it!  I don't care if it didn't follow the book to the letter, having never read it, so the story was fun and very entertaining.  I know that there are those "purest" out there (Jim Adams), but as far as I'm concerned, John Carter was well worth the money.  I was going to do a little review of it, but I don't want to.  I'll just say this..... if you were wondering whether or not to go....... Just do it!  It was filmed in Utah, so the scenery is great.  The actor playing John Carter is fairly handsome, so the eye candy is great.  And last, but not least, the story is fun and interesting.  The music is fabulous and I came away feeling good.

Rachel went to a multi-stake dance Saturday night.  She wore green and had a great time with all of her friends.  I'll post pictures soon.

Rachel also spent a couple of hours last week in the ER.  Nothing serious, in fact...... Nothing SERIOUS at all.  She had run her finger through the sewing machine at school.  The secretary thought there was still the needle tip in her finger.  X-rays showed nothing.  So I have a 400 dollar ER bill for Rachel's newest story.  Sheesh!

We've added 3 performances to the "Anne of Green Gables" run at the Covey Center in Provo.  Tickets are selling briskly and we only have 5 out of the 12 performances left with seating.  The new dates are:  Monday March 26, Tuesday March 27, and Wednesday March 28.  Tickets are also still available for the 29th and the 31st of March.  Seating is general admission, first come, first served so you will want to arrive early for best seating.

The black box is a small, 60 seat, theater which makes for an intimate theatrical experience, but doesn't have seating for a large crowd.  We actually love performing in this space.  It's a wonderful experience if you have the time to go.  You'll be rewarded!  Even if I'm biased.
