Crazy hair day at Hillcrest today.  I ratted my hair a bit and put in a flower.  I'm so crasssssssy. Some of the kids painted their faces.  Who knew the face was part of crazy hair day.

I wrote my first article for the adoption website my friend Arlen works on.  It was pretty good, for a first time.  Scott is averaging 3 pages a day on his novel and will probably be finished soon.  It's about a girl who wants to play Cyrano in the school play.  It's really cute and funny.  Scott is good at the funny. Paige is writing papers for English every day and Christopher actually studied a book for Government.  I know, we're such literary geniuses at our house.

Anne of Green Gables, a play I'm directing for the Brinton Black Box at the Covey Center in Provo, is coming along nicely.  It's cast and will be totally blocked by this coming Saturday.  Lauren Pope, a junior at Timpview High school is playing Anne.  She is so wonderful and good.  I found some really great talent for the show.

I finished reading "The Help" last night.  I enjoyed it, but I'm not sure it's as wonderful as everyone makes it out to be.  I got interested in some of the stories and I liked how she wove together each different point of view character with the plot of the story to create the total picture.  My favorite characters were Miss Skeeter and Minny, although the part that brought tears to my eyes was when Aibileen askes Mae Mobely  what she is.  Mae Mobely answers with: "I am kind.  I am important."  It was very moving.  Now do I see the movie?  I think so.  It will probably be worth a buck or two at the dollar show.

I hope everyone has a terrific day.  It is Thursday after all.
